I'm taking the opportunity on this gorgeous Fall Saturday full of crappy football games to watch one of my favorite reality TV shows, Millionaire Matchmaker.
Patti Stanger is the queen of matchmaking and one liners. She knows the nasty habits that a lot of young men and women make in their dating lives. One thing she always asks her clients to do is to make a list of 5 non-negotiables, or dealbreakers. Patti tells the clients that if the person they are on a date with does not match up with their non-negotiables to move on to the next one.
I think this is a brills idea. If you're not happy with something at the get go it's never going to get better. It will only get WORSE! Now that I'm working with a clean slate I think this is a perfect time to decide some of my non-negotiables and I think you should do the same.
